Jay Melody is a fast-rising Tanzanian singer and songwriter who became one of the most trending Bongo Flava music stars.

He was born  Sharif Saidi Juma on June 12, 1997, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is known for his top-charted singles like Sugar, Najieka, Nakupenda, Nitasema and so much more.

He started off his career as a ghostwriter and decided to take music seriously by standing on his own and quitting being a writer for his fellow musicians.

He later got signed to Epic Records, one of the record labels in Tanzania.
