Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe known popularly as Ayra Starr, currently signed to the Nigerian record label, Mavin Records, was born on June 14, 2002, in Cotonou, Benin.

She started off as a fashionista, modeling for Quove Model Management when she was a teen, at the age of 16, before she decided to take her music career seriously.

In 2019, a year that the universe started noticing her, she had a habit of covering hit songs by mainstream artists, luckily caught Mavin’s executive eyes known as Don Jazzy and got signed to his label.

Half a year, everything changed, Ayra is one of the mainstream artists from Nigeria and she has dropped EPs like “Ayra Starr” (2019) which has a total of five songs, including “Away” her breakthrough song.

In 2021 she unleashed “19 & Dangerous” then released the deluxe edition in the coming year, making it hard for the other Nigerian musicians to shake her off the charts.
