Kanye Omari West (also known as Ye) was born on June 8, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia but raised in Chicago. Is an American rapper, record producer, fashion designer, and father to four children – North, Psalm, Saint, and Chicago.

Ye is known for working hard in every field; as a record producer, rapper, or fashion designer, he doesn’t disappoint. He is considered the most influential artist of all time.

Ye as a record producer has already produced singles to albums for artists with big names in the industry like Alicia Keys, Drake,  Lil Nas X, Rick Ross, John Legend and so many more!.

Lil Nas X has a studio album titled Montero, which is the one Ye produced, and luckily it was nominated for the Grammy for Album of the Year. If you ain’t know, now you know.

This is his first studio album released on February 10, 2004, under the Roc-A-Fella Recordings and Def Jam Recordings. Ye has faced lots of difficulties in the making of this first album. As we all know the beginning is always difficult. Nobody has accepted him as the best rapper, he tried his best to make what he believed in come true.

He started creating this album earlier in 1999 to earlier 2004. If you count down, you will see that he spent almost four years making this masterpiece.

All this time he intended on pursuing a solo career. The album was released, and in its first week of sales, 44,100 copies were sold. Meanwhile, doing better on the charts globally, cause in the US. alone it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200.

Guys, this album is noted as one of the greatest albums of all time. In 2005, the 47th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los  Angeles.

He was nominated for 10 categories, he also performed his viral song Jesus Walks which won a Grammy award as the Best Rap Song, and the album won the Best Rap Album of the Year.

4. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy [2010]

This is Kanye West’s fifth studio album which was released on November 22, 2010, by Def Jam Recordings alongside co-label Roc-A-Fella Recordings. This album explores West’s status, not just as a rapper, but as a celebrity.

The album features superstars like Rihanna, one of the best female artists of all time, Nicki Minaj the rap Queen, Maybach Music label owner Rick Ross, Raekwon, and other high-profile artists.

Same as the previous albums, this one again did numbers. It debuted at NO. 1 again and again on the US Billboard Hot 200.

This is absolutely insane! This dude right here hits number #1 every time he drops an album. He only lets the other artists top the charts for a short time and the time he releases something, that is the end of their story.

The album has sold nearly 500k copies and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA.  At the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, this album took home a Grammy for Best Rap Album.

5. Jesus Is King [2019]

This is Ye’s ninth studio album. It is a gospel album that has helped him expand his fanbase and reach thousands of people who are believers and even non-believers.

This album alone preaches. It created a way for him to team up with one of the most famous pastors in the world Joel Osteen and gather people for Sunday Service twice.

Songs found in the album like Follow God and Closed on Sunday charted in the top twenty of the United States Billboard Hot 100. The album won at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards in all the categories it was mentioned in, which are Top Gospel Album and Top Christian Album.

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, Jesus Is King won an award as The Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. This album has revealed that Ye can do different things and do even better than the ones in the industry for a long period of time.

The album has been certified Gold and Silver in the US and UK by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The industry has a lot of GOATs. The ones that have a fanbase that if you talk about anything they don’t agree to won’t hesitate to call out your name and say you’re wild, stupid, weird, and so many names similar to these.

But if we are being honest, Ye is one of them or can even be better than those.
As we speak, Ye’s album Donda is nominated for the Grammy for Best Rap Album 2022. I have read a couple of tweets, Instagram, and Facebook posts, and everyone is confident Donda can take home this award.

Kanye West has been nominated 763 times and won 271 times (not only the Grammy), so this tells a lot about him.
