Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a renowned and currently most awarded Bongo Flava musician from Tanzania.

He rose to fame almost decades ago, from the release of his hit song named “Kamwambie” a song that bagged him to fame today he is trending on digital platforms and topping the music charts on Tvs and radios with his latest release “Shu!” and “My Baby” a song that features a top-tier Nigerian musician, Chiké.

You can never say a musician is successful in his career if he ain’t got a record, cause that defines an artist. Platnumz has launched a record label named WCB Wasafi Records that has signed three known Bongo Flava artists, Lava Lava, Zuchu, and Mbosso.

He also came up with radio and TV stations named Wasafi Radio and Wasafi Tv, both have good numbers of listeners and viewers for they are dedicated to giving out the best and trending news to their followers.

Actually, he is one of the most successful musicians in Tanzania and generally, Africa. He inspires many and as the days go by, he stays going up with no sign of stepping down any time soon.

Back to today’s topic, Platnumz has a bulk of top-charted songs, but today let’s focus on only songs that were getting played even outside of the African continent.

This song features a Nigerian finest, Flavour who was known as Mr. Flavour. As we speak, the music video of this song has boasted over 90 million views on YouTube. Making it one of the most viewed videos by the artist.

2. Waah!

Platnumz had to go with a Bolingo-infused genre and tipped in the musical abilities of the Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide who makes this song timeless and alluring. It is the most viewed song by him with over 130 million views on YouTube.

3. African Beauty

It’s a song that was derived from his debut album named A Boy From Tandale which features American singer, songwriter, dancer, and song composer, Omarion, who played a part in making this song anticipated.

4. My Number One

This song was released by a very skilled Tanzanian record producer, Tudd Thomas. It was one of the most played but that time it came out (almost a decade ago) and won him awards.

It has a remix version that features a Nigerian Afrosounds gem and DMW record owner, Davido who perfectly sings his part, and lays his vocals next to Platnumz’s.

5. Iyo

An Amapiano-infused thriller tune that features top-charting South African rappers like the “Ke Star” crooner, Focalistic, alongside the “John Vuli Gate” hit makers Mapara A Jazz and Ntosh Gazi.

It’s one of the first released Swahili-piano songs in Tanzania by Diamond Platnumz, not many have had an idea to start creating songs out of their main music genre, Bongo Flava to Amapiano or Afrobeat which is now a trend in Tanzania.

7. Jeje

Talking of all-time hit songs by this dude and not mentioning Jeje is a waste of time. This song gained fame that drove in more streams in a few weeks. It’s one of the songs that gets played by youths which resulted in making it anticipated.

As of today, Jeje has over 80 million views on YouTube and still counting. It’s going to be over 100 million by the end of the year.

8. Mbagala

Firstly, this song won him awards. Second, it’s one of the early songs that helped him garner thousands of followers that turned out to be his loyal fans.

Can’t talk about songs that made Platnumz who he is today without mentioning these songs, Mbagala and Kamwambie. If you would say so, then your facts wouldn’t be facts at all. Not needed to be said, would rather keep them to yourself.

This song features her girlfriend, Zuchu, it’s the most streamed song off of his Extended Play tagged “First of All” which can be called in short, FOA, and ep consisted of six solid songs.

It’s a love-themed song that addresses strength. That, even if people aren’t comfortable seeing them together, it doesn’t mean that they will break up later or sooner. It’s a sweet song that I’m pretty sure still exists in many music playlists.

10. Salome

This is a song that when it gets mentioned reminds you of them old good days. It’s a song made that made the whole “2016” year beautiful. It features former WCB Wasafi Records member, Rayvanny, who is also good at making bangers.

If you were around when it came out, you remember how beautiful this song sounded and hopefully still has your attention. One of the few classics that will forever stay in style.

He is the fifth most awarded musician in Africa. He won multiple international awards including African Muzik Magazine Awards in 2015 won Best Male Artist East Africa, Artist Of The Year in the same year he won an award at MTV Europe Music Awards for Best African and Indian Act et cetera.

And not forgetting what happened on May 3, 2013, the night he bagged home almost 7 awards including Best Male Writer, Best Male Artist, Best Song Writer and Best Male Entertainer of the Year.

Clearly, it’s understandable this guy knows what he is doing and his efforts are what keep him where he at today and eventually will take him further cause nothing is impossible to be achieved under the sun.
